On 8 May 1945, the Allied world joined together to celebrate Germany’s surrender the previous day and to mark what became known as Victory in Europe – or VE – Day. Bunting and flags adorned the streets in villages, towns and cities throughout Britain, and our VE Day bunting helps to recreate those celebrations. This year – 2020 – is the 75th anniversary, and the UK will enjoy a Bank Holiday on Friday 8 May to mark the occasion.
